Located just 15 minutes north of Campbell River on Hwy. 19, guests are invited to view the site of the blasting of the Ripple Rock, the largest non-nuclear explosion in history. Before the blast, the rock's two submerged peaks claimed over 119 vessels and 114 lives and became known as the most dangerous water passage in North America.

The Museum at Campbell River brings history to life with a wide selection of artifacts and interactive exhibits. Uncover the rich culture of the First Nations people that originally inhabited northern Vancouver. The museums theatre offers historic film footage of the historic "Ripple Rock" explosion in nearby Seymour Narrows. The museum's outdoor exhibit, accessible at anytime, includes a wooden cod fishing boat, logging steam donkey, a garden and more. The Museum store carries a selection of native art, regional books and crafts by local artisans.
